Hooray! The Sly games are available on PlayStation 3. Sony has upgraded the classic PlayStation games, added some bonus material, and re-released the games in a collection that comes highly recommended for kids, teenagers and adults alike.

Sly Cooper, the infamous raccoon, is a master thief who performs daring robberies all over the world. Sly is searching for the secrets of his ancestors, though; the journey is long and perilous. Murray, a powerful hippo, and Bentley, a clever and handy turtle, are Sly’s faithful companions,

Each game contains a number of levels and missions that need to be solved. You play as Sly, Bentley or Murray, and the goal is to find treasures and clues, defeat a large number of opponents, and solve tasks where you get to test your dexterity and/or ability to solve puzzles.

The Sly Collection, as a whole, offers great variety in terms of gaming experience as well as in gaming worlds. You have the opportunity to play the games chronologically, or freely choose your missions. In addition to the three games, which were previously released on PlayStation 2, four PlayStation Move compatible mini-games exclusive to the collection are also included. Three of them are shooting gallery games; the fourth is a helicopter flying game.

Even though the Sly games are several years old, they are fascinating and very enjoyable, for new and experienced gamers alike. The resolution of The Sly Collection has been significantly improved (HD quality), and parts of the game are 3D compatible.

Child suitability:
The game has cartoon-like graphics with vivid colors, all very child friendly. As well as this, the different gaming worlds offer great variety. Throughout the game, as you encounter new challenges, you are given the opportunity to learn the moves needed to complete the mission. Some tasks might be a bit difficult, still, none of them are too demanding for children from 6 years of age.

As you play, you are involved in quite a lot of fighting. You have to defeat different opponents, mostly animals and imaginative creatures. The cartoon-like characters dissolve and disappear when they die, making the level of realism quite low.

The game is basically a one player game; however, the mini games are well suited for multiple players.

3-5 years: Under the age limit.

6-9 years: The game is well suited for this age group. Sly 3: Under the age limit.

10-12 years: The game comes highly recommended for this age group.

13+: The game is equally appealing to young people and adults alike.
